Ultra Low Cost Home Building Workshop

A workshop to empower woman to design and build their own homes. Men are very welcome.

Participants will build a 10’ by 10’ home using pole frame, cordwood and earth bag construction techniques. Also on Saturday July 14 in the evening there will be a two hour PowerPoint presentation and discussion on off-the-grid living.

Dye with Natural Pigments - Seasonal Spectrums Workshop

We live surrounded by rainbows. In this class we explore working with natural colors from the surrounding landscape to create a palette of natural hues.Students engage with their environment through plant identification, ethical harvesting and sustainability, deepening a spirited connection to the earth.Mapping our sensory experience onto cloth through alchemical color practices. We cover all aspects of getting started with creating natural color, working with fibers, PH modifiers, and mordants. Students leave with the skills to explore their environments with a new perspective.

Herbal Infused Vinegar Workshop with Full Moon Celebration

Learn how to make your own herbal infused vinegar. Herbal vinegars are a delicious addition to the kitchen, full of health benefits, creative gifts, make a great hair rinse and plenty more. Participants will take home 2, 250ml mason jars of infused vinegar.

All supplies included with workshop. If you have herbs in your garden, feel free to bring them.
After infusing vinegars you are invited to join us for a pot luck and an evening around the fire ... howling at the moon . . uh ..celebrating the full moon ;) Bring your smile, stories, instrument .... you catch our drift!

          Children's Rainbow Workshop - Exploring Natural Dyes

Exploring pigments from botanical sources for children! We learn about how to make pigments from plants, then get creative and explore using plants to dye our clothing and talk about herbs, our environment & sustainable fashion in a fun informal way. This hands on workshop uses all non toxic materials and things do get messy. 

Ages 6-7 or older (if younger they need parents with them to help)
